“Seth material” search engine (Jane Roberts)

(On Friday, June 21, 1968, Jane sent the manuscript of her dream book to Parker Publishing Company Inc., Village Square Building, West Nyack, N Y. On Saturday, June 28, a card arrived from Parker with this message:

(We estimate Parker had the book script in hand on Monday, June 23. Their card was written and mailed on June 27, Thursday, giving someone there three days to read the script, perhaps make some sort of evaluation, etc. Note that their response gave both of us the feeling that something unusual was involved. A little later, handling the card perhaps half an hour after giving the impressions, Jane said she got nothing unusual from it; it seemed like ordinary mail, that is.

(Below is a copy of the question-and-answer session I held with myself and the pendulum on the afternoon of June 12, 1967, today, in an effort to see what subconscious knowledge I might have that would benefit Jane.

[...] The art dream (of June 3), as I call it, has its opening scene in an art gallery, which represents a conventionalized view of art. [...]

JUNE 10, 1974 MONDAY

Monday, June 10, 1974, I lay down to take a nap. [...]

(Brother Bill visited last June 1, and Jane reacted more strongly to that event than I did. See the deleted session for June 1. Then on August 12, Bill, Loren and families visited us. [...]

[...] I’d felt much better since last June, and thought I’d learned enough since then so that I didn’t need to bother the stomach any more—but evidently I hadn’t after all.

(This session was held on Monday, June 9, 1969. It is now Friday, June 13 as I finish typing up this session. [...] The initial 7-hour period mentioned by Seth would have placed Dr. Pietra within our environment early on the morning of June 10, perhaps an hour before our usual rising time. [...]

JUNE 9, 1969 9:26 PM MONDAY

[...] Jane outlined the content of this session to her ESP class on Tuesday evening, June 10, and a focusing of energy was tried re Dr Pietra, without result as far as we know.)

(Note: This session was held on June 2. On June 5 we heard that Leonard was going to contact a real estate agent about buying a house.

[...] Today Jane learned that his rent has not been raised, peculiarly enough, as of today, June 5. The lawyer never lived in the apartment, for whatever reasons of his own. [...]

JUNE 10, 1968 9:05 PM MONDAY

(On June 5, 1968 John Pitre telephoned Jane from Franklin, LA, seeking answers to three questions: the reasons for John’s uneasiness concerning his wife Peg last week; the reasons for the loss of leg feeling John experiences in hot weather; and data on a pilot, Albert Blevins, who vanished on a flight in a small plane near the Gulf Coast about four years ago, presumably near Franklin.

(Saturday, June 23, 1973, was the first anniversary of the flood caused by Tropical Storm Agnes — or, as the local newspaper put it in a flood supplement, the occasion was Agnes Plus One.

(The impressions were given on June 29. On June 16 and June 23, Jane’s notebook shows that she had vague, encouraging dreams about writing and publishing and New York City. [...]

[...] I graduated from high school in Sayre in June 1937, 32 years ago, and have seldom seen any classmates. [...]

(As of June 24, 1969, I have had no success communicating with Dr. Pietra on a conscious basis. This session was held on June 18.)

JUNE 18, 1969 9:35 PM WEDNESDAY

[...] It stemmed from his material in the session for June 5, when he said that “letting go” could have its frightening aspects for Jane, especially when she relied on such actions to improve her physical abilities like walking. Since she hasn’t been walking much since we embarked on Seth’s new program on June 3, I wondered if her attempts to let go had resulted in some fear on her part. [...]

(“A disturbing event in the month of June, ’64.” [...] Instead of seeing a dentist she visited our doctor next door; he put her on a series of antibiotics that lasted for four days, on into the month of June 1964. The pendulum told Jane the swelling was psychosomatic and not a tooth; the doctor agreed, eventually, and Seth did too, in the 59th session for June 3,1964. [...]

A disturbing event in the month of June, ’64. [...]

The June event did refer to Ruburt’s swollen gums, which were very painful. [...]

FROM SESSION ON JUNE 25, 1977

[...] Tonight’s session was held on June 15. I had thrown away the envelope the object arrived in, but both of us remembered receiving the object last Friday, on June 10. [...]

(“Perhaps a connection with a June date”, See the “ten” data on page 244. Jane and I were able to determine that we received the envelope object in the mail on June 10. [...]
