True questioning and true use of the critical faculties will always lead Ruburt, to intuitional truths, so there is no reason to fear them. Those who do not understand their abilities intellectually must one day be led to question them. The intuitions and the intellect are meant to challenge and develop each other, and intuitional knowledge and intellectual knowledge will ultimately lead to the same answers.

The conscious had to appreciate in quite real terms its dependence upon intuitional wisdom. There had to be agreement and unity. The conscious self was not to be left by the wayside, wondering while the intuitional abilities led to fulfillment. The conscious intellectual faculties had to realize what was operating in order that they themselves be fulfilled.

And I repeat, he should indeed stay away from spiritualistic literature. Not because there is anything basically wrong with it, but because it presents him with a dilemma. He knows intuitively what he knows. Intellectually he will catch up with this. The spiritualistic literature causes a needless conflict between his intellect and intuitions.

He has as you know excellent intuitive abilities. In the past in his poetry the intuitive abilities were somewhat isolated. [...]

He could not deny the intuitive self, so it became the self who wrote poetry. [...] The feminine image meant instability, intuitions that could lead into unrespectable by-ways, and emotions that were not intellectually restrained.

Then the mind, the intellect, alters its focus, using its abilities automatically for intuitive ends, and its questioning abilities are freed from endless queries from the outside, so to speak, and it joins with the intuitions, seeking its answers freely in that greater realm.

Intuitively Ruburt blazed through such beliefs—intuitively—and his books and mine are evidence of that. Intuitional knowledge and conscious assimilation are some poles apart, at least in your society. Both of you found it quite necessary to take a strong conscious, critical look at the material from the beginning, for your trainings told you, in the terms that you understood them, that the “subconscious” could be very misleading, though creative, and that therefore you must critically examine any intuitive productions that profess themselves to stand as truths rather than as creative fictions in your world.

Your immediate situation and all past ones, regardless of personal fears, which should not be discounted, result from Ruburt’s until-now determined decision to stand critically apart from his intuitional knowledge. [...]

(A true use of Personal Reality would be to use it like a bible – although not slavishly – but such use would unite the critical and intuitional faculties. [...]

The vast majority of intellectual deductions are based upon unconscious, intuitive realizations, and the edifices built by the intuitions have a dazzling framework of high intellectual content and reason, so brilliant that the mind itself often cannot follow.

The crisis would have developed on the condition that Ruburt tried to use and develop his spontaneous and intuitive abilities on an adult basis. [...]

The ego itself in many instances cannot experience directly certain intuitions and psychological experiences, but it can experience them insofar as it can be aware of them on an intellectual basis. When training forces the ego to become too rigid, and to limit its perception of other realities, then the intuitions will not be accepted by the ego because intuitional experience will not fit into the framework of reality as the ego sees it.

It will be written to the intuitions and the emotions, and so it will be done somewhat differently. Intuitive truths, as Ruburt should know, can also be revealed in other than highly intellectual ways. Some will intuitively understand the material far better than others who may grasp it intellectually but without emotional comprehension.

The attitude however could automatically make the material unavailable to many who need it, can understand it intuitively, and will use it well. [...]
