NoME Part Two: Chapter 3: Session 818, February 6, 1978 realms motes dust Weathermen storm

The encounters themselves occur in a Framework 3 environment. That framework of course, again in terms of an analogy, exists another step away from your own Framework 2.3 I do not want to get into a higher-or-lower hierarchy here, but the frameworks represent spheres of action. Our encounters initially take place, then, beyond the sphere that deals exclusively with either your physical world or the inner mental and psychic realm from which your present experience springs.

3. This is the second time that Seth has very briefly referred to Framework 3. See Note 3 for the 814th session.

(And those strange feelings of Jane’s are precisely why we’re presenting this session in Mass Events, even though it isn’t book dictation. Seth came through with some very interesting material on the relationship involving the three of us, as well as the communication between his reality and ours. The session contains just the kind of insights we’re always looking for as we seek to understand the whole ambience of the Seth experience, and when we receive such information we want others to know about it too. We hardly expected Seth to discuss Framework 3, though, since we’re still assimilating his material on Frameworks 1 and 2.

By way of comment, and in reference to this discussion only, without taking other issues into consideration, your own parents for example operated largely in Framework 1 for their entire lives. In portions of our work and your own, you have sometimes operated in Framework 3. Ruburt’s initial Idea Construction experience momentarily propelled him into Framework 4, where indeed enough energy, creativity, and power was generated to change his life beneficially, and open his mind to higher levels of understanding and knowledge.

There is, incidentally, a Framework 3 and a Framework 4, in the terms of our discussion—but all such labels are, again, only for the sake of explanation. [...]

(9:45.) Now let us look at Framework 2. Your ideas come and go effortlessly, without impediments, with a sense of ease that is taken for granted. [...] That freedom comes from Framework 2, as does the great creativity it makes possible. So in certain terms everyone exists in Framework 2. Many people, however, live out their lives, practically speaking, in Framework 1. Ruburt’s physical condition has been most troublesome to you both, for in that area you have stressed impediments and felt a lack of control. [...]

3. I should also note that Seth has made one short, rather mysterious reference to the existence of Frameworks 3 and 4. Two days after he’d first talked about his concept of Frameworks 1 and 2, he came through with the following statement in another private session. Jane and I have yet to ask him to elaborate upon it: “There is, incidentally, a Framework 3 and a Framework 4, in the terms of our discussion — but all such labels are, again, only for the sake of explanation. [...]

(Then, in a private session held on the evening of September 17, 1977, Seth came through with a very exciting concept called “Framework 1 and Framework 2.” [...] Briefly and very simply, Seth maintains that Framework 2, or inner reality, contains the creative source from which we form all events, and that by the proper focusing of attention we can draw from that vast subjective medium everything we need for a constructive, positive life in Framework 1, or physical reality. We’ve already made known to Seth our desires that he go into his Frameworks 1 and 2 material much more extensively in Mass Events, since those concepts are so closely involved with the individual and collective experiences surrounding the lives of everyone.3

I also wrote in Note 3 for Session 801: “…that ordinarily Seth has no chance to revise his copy.”

I should note that Seth has briefly—very briefly—referred to the existence of Frameworks 3 and 4. He says, I believe, that initially his encounters with Jane take place in a Framework 3 environment. It’s my own guess that Framework 4 might involve our communication—through the first three frameworks—with some of those nonhuman probable realities I mentioned not long ago.

For Seth, Framework 1 is simply a term representing the everyday, linear, conscious “working reality” we take for granted, the one in which “time” and events automatically unfold in moment after undeniable moment. [...] Beyond Framework 1, however, exists Framework 2, and it represents the great timeless or simultaneous spacious present that’s so dearly a manifestation of All That Is. All of our dreams, plans, thoughts, actions, and choices live in Framework 2; all flow from Framework 2 into Framework 1 according to our beliefs.

There followed many sessions, both regular and private (or deleted, as we sometimes call them), in which Seth discussed Frameworks 1 and 2. As can happen when we’re consciously too close to a deep-seated situation, some little time passed before Jane and I realized the obvious: It wasn’t that we were unable to tune into Framework 2, say, for help in effecting a healing for her in the joint reality we’d created in Framework 1—but that in physical reality we were drawing from Framework 2 exactly what we wanted to, even if often on unconscious or unwitting levels. [...] As I’ve tried to show in these essays, we didn’t suspend our efforts to reach into that larger framework. [...]
